Xena: Warrior Princess was a television show. It debuted in 1995, but there was nothing modern about the world it existed in. Originally a spin-off of Hercules, Xena took place in a fantastical version of Ancient Greece, one where its mythology was true. It featured Lucy Lawless and Renee O'Connor as Xena and Gabrielle. The show went on to win awards and regularly ranked at the top of television rankings. It still has a strong cult following to this day, particularly for Xena's role a strong a strong female lead. Xena was cancelled in 2001.
