Vampira was a character played by Maila Nurmi for her show The Vampire Show. The television program debuted in 1954 and only ran for a year, and was also only broadcast within the Los Angeles area, but Vampire became a cult hero due to her creepy and cool style. Nurmi continued the role for the rest of the decade before going beyond horror, but she never really left the character entirely. Vampira is still a classic and influential figure within the genre. This vintage Vampira shirt from the early 80s, in excellent condition, features a portrait of her in a scary graveyard.
