The film follows Cory Webster (Brolin), a nice normal skateboarder, who moves to LA to try and win a downhill skate competition, you know one of those silly outdated contests that pre-trick skateboarders used to compete in. Cory finds himself in aĀ Romeo And Juliet love affair as he falls for Chrissy, the younger sister of Tommy Hook who is the leader of rival skate gang The Daggers. Danger and romance ensue. The film, while campy and dated, is a skate classic, featuring a soundtrack filled with early 80s California punk hardcore bands and cameos from the biggest name in skateboarding from that era, like Tony Hawk, Steve Caballero, Tony Alva, and Christian Hosoi.
