In 1982, TheĀ Beat released their third albumĀ Special Beat Service. By this point, The Beat, known in the US as The English Beat, were already well-known and -regarded for being one of the premier ska bands. The album, which was released by I.R.S. Records, went all the way to #39 on the Billboard Charts in the States. Sadly, the band broke up one year after the album's release, but after a 20 year hiatus, the band has gotten back together and are still active to this day. This original The English Beat shirt, in great condition, is from 1982, the same year the band releasedĀ Special Beat Service.Ā
