The album went to #12 in the US and #3 in the UK and has since been certified Multi-Platinum. The band went on the road to support the record in a tour they dubbed The Prayer Tour. The tour had different openers, from Pixies to Shelleyan Orphan, but one of the mainstays were the British punks in Love And Rockets.
