Pantera released their fifth albumĀ Cowboys From HellĀ in 1990. The band had spentĀ the previous decade as a glam metal band. Once signer Phil Anselmo joined the band in the late 80s, the band started to transition away from the glam style they had been known for and towards a heavier, wilder one.Ā CFHĀ was the band's first major label release and was a complete rebranding.
