Malcolm X wasĀ born in 1925. He advocated for Black empowerment, particularly through his involvement in the Nation of Islam, even though he left the organization in 1964. His ideology was largely disseminated through his speaking, his only written work during his lifetime being his autobiography which actually wasn't even released until shortly after his death.
