The University Of Georgia, the enormous public school located in Athens, was founded in 1785. It's a storied institution that is regularly high ranks in terms of its academics. But despite being an age-old school where you can get a great education, it is also, of course, home to the Bulldogs. The school boasts championship winning teams across several different sports: tennis, track and field, gymnastics, and, of course, football. They are led to victory by their mascot, Uga, an adorably ferocious real-life bulldog.
