Eyehategod, the New Orleans, LA sludge metal band founded in 1988, released a three-song 7" onĀ Bovine Records from Madison, Wi in 1994. The record was named after the first song, "Ruptured Heart Theory." The EP wasĀ later collected on the band's B-sides albumĀ Southern Discomfort.Ā That compilation was released on Eyeball in 2000. Since then, the band has remained active consistently touring and writing, solidifying their space as one of the best metal bands going.
