In 1981, Hellhammer formed in Switzerland. They released three demos in 1983 and broke up the following year, laying the groundwork for many metal and extreme music genres including black metal. They quickly reformed as Celtic Frost who proved to be even more important and influential. Celtic Frost released five albums and four EPs over their fractured career, but it all started out with Morbid Tales, their debut recording released in 1984. The record was only six songs but it changed the course of heavy metal. This vintage fan made Celtic Frost shirt from the 1990s, lightly worn in great condition, features the art from Morbid Tales.
